School’s Out for Summer!

Well, school is officially out for summer at Faith Academy and our kids are really looking forward to the break.  Last summer our kids did not get much of a summer break because shortly after they completed school in New Brunswick we left for Mississauga for orientation and then on to the Philippines where they started school a month earlier (August 2nd) than normal.  So, needless to say, they are ready for the break (and so are we as parents).

We are so proud of our children.  They all did amazingly well for their first year at an international school and we couldn’t be more pleased with their overall grades and performance.  Each of them had a few bumps along the way but they all persevered, didn’t give up, and finished well.

The last couple of weeks were jammed backed with activities and events to wrap up the 2016/17 school year.  We thought we’d just share some of the many pictures that we captured over the course of these events/activities.

LOOKING AHEAD

June 5th to 8th – This week, Michael is in Davao City to participate in an Interfaith Youth Leadership Gathering.  This gathering is being co-organzied by CRUIS Inc, KPM, and CBM.  The gathering will bring together youth from different faith backgrounds to explore commonalities, shared hopes & dreams, and goals for the future.  The goal of the gathering is to develop a strategy for positive interfaith relations within their communities and circles of influence.  Please join us in praying for this gathering and for all those who will participate and facilitate the activities/discussions.

July 10th to 17th – We are looking forward to hosting Malcolm & Patty Card (Malcolm is the President of CBM’s Board of Directors) and introducing them to the Philippines and some of the new and exciting ministry that is starting to take shape here.  We will be taking them to Capiz Province to introduce them to our partners (KPM) and to some of the Food for Life farmers.  Please join us in praying for safety as they journey to the Philippines and please pray for our time together as we share our ministry with them.

In closing, we want to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for everyone who continues to pray for us and financially support us as we serve with CBM in the Philippines. Your faithful love and support means so much to us and serves as a reminder of God’s love, faithfulness and provision. Thanks for joining us on this journey…TOGETHER we are impacting families and communities through word and deed!
